This Bicycle Road Is Covered Completely With Solar Panels. But Was This Really A Good Idea?

The video shows an aerial view of a fully solar panel covered bicycle road between Daejeon and Sejong. The two cities are both located 2~3 hours south of Seoul. The solar panels on the one hand generate power and on the other hand protect bikers from the sun and even rain. What do you think about this idea?
